it's not that great say compared to a Honda Fit

the Smarts ride is choppy and best suited for city driving, feels unstable at hwy speeds, and for the best mpg you'll need to use premium fuel.

also avoid the Toyota yaris

you can buy them in either SMART dealerships, or some Mercedes-Benz dealerships. i know that here in San Jose, California, we already have a SMART dealership in the automall. the cheapest model of the lineup is the SMART Fortwo Pure. it comes at about 11,590 and comes with the most basic stuff that everyone needs. the one above that is the Fortwo Passion. it has better wheels, better interior, and has a lot more options stuff inside, and costs somewhere around 13k. the most expensive is the Fortwo Convertible, which costs a hefty 16k. it has all the same stuff as the Fortwo Passion, but just has a drop top.

however, it does take a long time for you to actually get the car. i asked the dealer in California and they said that if i ordered one right away, it would come in a year.

You can buy them here. Kind of hard. But if you have an import dealership anywhere near you that sells BMWs, they should be able to tell you where to get one, if not get one for you.

Yes, I see almost one every day where I live (Arizona). And as far as safety goes, it received 5 stars for front and side impact so it is pretty safe.

Can I buy a smart fortwo vehicle?
I heard somewhere that the US didnt want to sell them because of lobbyists and safety concerns, among other things. But somewhere else I heard that they were selling in America since January. Can I buy them? Where? For how much?
